We express our views on the education and inclusion of children who are hindered by the language barrier from gaining full access to education in Czech schools. This issue concerns foreign children and students as well as children with Czech citizenship with no or insufficient knowledge of the Czech language. We point out the drawbacks in legislation that make the successful inclusion of these children difficult – for them as well as for the schools where they go – and we propose solutions.
