Since 2006, we have been supporting children and young people with other mother tongues (or multilingual children and young people) and their parents in finding their way around the Czech education system and in their inclusion into education. We offer support to teachers in engaging and teaching multilingual children and students.
Visit the Together in School web portal for more information.
Visit the inkluzivniskola.cz web portal where teachers of children and students with other mother tongues can find help.
We support children with other mother tongues (or multilingual children and young people) and their parents in finding their way around the Czech education system and in their inclusion into education. We offer them social services, volunteer support, courses of Czech as a second language, free-time activities, and information support.
We support schools in educating multilingual children, i.e., children with no or insufficient knowledge of Czech. We offer courses, methodological and information support, counseling services, and teaching materials.
We propose and push forward systemic changes that reflect the needs of multilingual children (and schools) and help develop their potential.
We aim to promote open dialogue and understanding between people with immigration experience and the majority society through information campaigns.

We have published numerous publications and materials that you can download as PDF for free or purchase. By purchasing a publication, you will support our work.
Practice your Czech using our interactive online tools for children, teenagers, and their teachers. The apps focus on vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension.
Our work is possible thanks to support from public sources, the private sector, and individual donors. Do you find our activities appealing? If you decide to support us financially, you will help children who are facing challenges in their education due to the language barrier, as well as their teachers and classmates.
How to support us“META has been defending the rights of children with immigration experience – multilingual children and young people – in our country for many years with great patience, perseverance, and constructive energy, and the organization keeps on patiently advocating for their equitable chances and opportunities.”
“META cares about providing high-quality services with broad scope. What matters are people, relationships, and a pleasant working environment. At the same time, the organization never overlooks the most important things – efficiency, openness, planning, and development. The people at META have a drive and unlimited energy and desire to make things better. Working with META is a pure joy.”
“META is an organization with robust strategic management, a high-quality and carefully built internal culture, and an organizational structure that is functional and continuously being adapted to new needs.”
“I have had the opportunity to work for several non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic and France and I have to say that META ranks among the very best. They have always been friendly, professional, and fair. Their projects not only make sense but also have a vision and an excellent organization. I think META can be an inspiration for other non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic and abroad.”
“I am very grateful that META has been our member for many years. The organization has exceptional expertise in teaching the Czech language to children who are not sufficiently proficient and in supporting their parents and the teaching staff.”
“META means support for young people, students, and their parents. And even more – it represents determination and dedication to bring about a structural change in education to make it truly accessible to everyone.”
